a masked affair

Sounds racy huh?  Not so much.  It is however a New Year's Masquerade party for which there is a design competition (scroll down for info).  It requires a sketch and portfolio to be submitted.  I am not an artist, nor do I have any skills in costume design, but I had and idea so that's all that really matters huh?  Who knows who will enter, probably a lot of really talented people with skills in this sort of thing but whatever.  I put together a hard copy of my sewing portfolio - just a few things made of silk and will combine that with this little sketch - sorry, it actually looks a lot better than this but don't have a color scanner.   You can see the very top of the portfolio (the blue) behind it.  I also had to put together a fun list of required materials, inspiration and also added hair/makeup ideas.  It's ink and watercolor.  I have no plans in being selected but I did have fun putting it together and having a little watercolor art project at my desk this afternoon.
